• Graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree
  
  

• Received doctoral degree from University of Detroit School of Dentistry graduating with honors
  
  

• Member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Sigma Nu honor societies
  
  

• Selected for a general practice residency and fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  
  

• Taught at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in the Oral Diagnosis department
  
  

• Completed specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry upon earning a masters degree in 1993
  
  

• Maintained a full or part-time private practice in general dentistry for 5 years prior to his specialty training
  
  

• Member of American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Lakeland Valley Dental Association, and American Association of Endodontists
  
  

• On a personal note Dr. Allen, himself a native of northern Michigan, moved to southwest Michigan in 1995. He and his general dentist wife Michele have two daughters, Beth and Rebecca. He enjoys Golf, Boating, and anything to do with music.
